Mount Kisco Woman, 23, Charged With DWI After Crash In Yorktown

Madelin I. Bu Munoz, 23, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 20 around 10:20 p.m. after Yorktown Police received a call from a resident of Hanover Street reporting a vehicle crash, said the Yorktown Police.

When officers arrived on the scene and conducted an investigation, they found that Bu Munoz was driving a 2018 Hyundai southbound on Hanover Street when she drove off the roadway and struck a tree, police said.

A further investigation found that she was allegedly driving while intoxicated, police said.

Bu Munoz was transported by Yorktown Ambulance to Hudson Valley Hospital for treatment of leg and head injuries suffered during the crash. After treatment, she was issued traffic summons for the charges failure to keep right and driving while intoxicated and released on her own recognizance to hospital staff, police said.

She is scheduled to appear in court on March 5.
